Tribal Water Quality Governance Project


The Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe has partnered with the University of Nevada, Reno, University of Idaho and Michigan State University, to explore critical water quality issues and their governance. Funded by the National Science Foundation, the research seeks to understand how space and time influence tribal efforts to protect water quality. 

The Tribe and its partners have designed a survey for Pyramid Lake Paiute tribal members to understand the community's knowledge and values that relate to water quality. Particularly, we are interested in hearing from the community about locations of importance and timing of events (past, present or future) associated with water conditions. Tribal members' input is important to the study, so we encourage you to share some of what you know!

Each person who provides responses to the survey will be included in a drawing for a $50 Walmart gift card. You must be a registered tribal member. Please return the completed survey by June 1, 2018 to:
